Women’s basketball in Geneva — join IBBC Women (NL1)
The club’s flagship squad. After winning both the Geneva Cup and the cantonal championship in 2023–24, IBBC Women were promoted to Swiss Basketball’s Women’s National League 1 (NL1W) in September 2024. They finished sixth in their first NL1 season and, in 2025–26 — four wins in their last five regular-season games — reached the NL1 playoffs: the first national playoff appearance in the club’s history. A roster of fifteen players from ten nationalities, run entirely by volunteers.
Membership — CHF 475.– (Higher licence costs in the national league)
Joining the team
Write to the club and the head coach will invite you to a practice — for the women’s team this can be a squad session rather than the Friday open session. You can attend up to three free trial sessions before the club gives you its answer. Players of all nationalities are welcome; English and French are spoken.
